Eyebrow and facial threading is the fastest-growing alternative to facial waxing or depilatory creams. By twisting antibacterial cotton thread and pulling it along the skin’s surface, unwanted hair can be removed directly from the follicle.
Our professionally-trained estheticians take extreme care when performing our waxing services and are sure to protect the health and elasticity of the skin, while making sure the final result is smooth and beautiful.
Unlike fake eyelashes, lash extensions can last up to 6 to 8 weeks with a bit of routine maintenance. No need to apply mascara, your new pair of lashes will make your eyes pop. We use a special adhesive glue to apply a full set of lashes or individual lashes.
Eyebrow and eyelash tinting treatments entail the use of a semi-permanent dye that will remain on the treated area for several minutes, transforming the color and look of your brows and lashes. We provide a wide area of gentle, safe tints to match your hair color and skin tone.
Our facials are not your average cookie-cutter facials. Designed and customized to meet your skin’s needs, they deliver visible results through professional strength formulas, exclusive techniques, and advanced technologies.
Our lash lift treatment is a low-maintenance way to temporarily lift your lashes. Our lash experts can transform sparse, flat lashes with our lift and tint treatment, specially designed to add depth and darkness without the application of mascara.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is threading?
Threading is the fastest-growing alternative to facial waxing or depilatory creams. By twisting antibacterial cotton thread and pulling it along the skin’s surface, unwanted hair can be removed directly from the follicle.
Do I need an appointment?
Threading services are walk-in only. For facials, waxing, tinting, and lashes, we accept walk-ins but give preference to appointments.
What's better: Threading or waxing?
Threading is more gentle on the skin than waxing. Because waxing can remove the top layer of skin, we don't recommend waxing for those with sensitive skin or who are using topical acne or anti-aging products. Additionally, threading can achieve a more precise brow shape than waxing can.
What lasts longer: Threading or waxing?
Both threading and waxing typically last for 2-6 weeks, depending on your re-growth rate.
Does threading hurt?
Threading is approximately as painful as waxing.
Can threading cause skin problems?
Because it's so gentle on the skin, the possibility of threading causing adverse reactions is very low (and much lower than with waxing). Most clients' skin will be slightly red after threading. The redness goes away, typically, within 30 minutes.
What's the difference between a bikini, french bikini, and brazilian wax?
Bikini waxing removes hair outside panty line. French bikini waxing goes a bit beyond the panty line and usually leaves a "landing strip". Brazilian waxing removes all hair from the front and back of the pubic area.
Do your estheticians use hard or soft wax?
Our estheticians use both hard and soft wax.
Do you do male Brazilians?
The availability of male Brazilians varies by location. Please call your local Idolize to inquire about availability.
Do you offer sugaring?
Sugaring treatments vary by location. Please call your local Idolize to inquire about availability.
How do I prepare for my lash appointment?
Please come to your lash appointment with a fresh, clean face that is make-up free.
Can I wear mascara with my new lashes?
We recommend that you stay away from applying products to your extensions. Mascara and cream-based makeup removers can weaken your new lashes.
Can lash extensions damage my lashes?
Lash extensions are a fun, safe, and easy way to enhance your natural lashes. As long as you take proper care of your lashes and stop in for touch-ups, your natural lashes will be happy. Our technicians have plenty of application experience and will address any concerns you may have along the way!
How long does lash and brow tinting last?
Tinting typically lasts for 2-4 weeks.
How should I come prepared for my lash and brow tinting appointment?
Please arrive with a fresh, clean make-up free face.
What if I see dye on my skin underneath my eyebrows?
Our specialists do their best to make sure excess dye is removed. However, if some dye remains after your treatment, don't panic! Excess dye will go away after a day or two.
How do I maintain my tinting treatment?
For lasting results, try not to wet your brows or lashes for up to 12 hours after treatment. If you are removing make-up, try not to exfoliate the treated area or use oil-based products as this will cause the dye to fade faster.
Will tinting make my brows look thicker?
Because tinting temporarily stains the skin, it will temporarily fill in brow gaps to make brows look fuller. The skin staining typically washes away after a few days, leaving the hairs tinted but the skin unstained.
What is a Microtreatment?
Microtreatments are 20-minute facials, recommended to maintain results achieved with a 60-minute Dermalogica Skin Treatment.
How long are IDOLIZE facials?
We offer 60-minute facials that include a complimentary scalp or hand and arm massage. We also offer 20-minute microtreatments, perfect for clients looking to concentrate on a core area that needs immediate attention and results.
Will my skin look red after my facial?
After your facial, your skin will feel refreshed, although you may see some color to your face after certain facials, like our chemical peel.
Do you offer facials for men?
Yes. Our facials are great for men and women.
How should I prepare for my chemical peel?
Avoid waxing, laser hair removal, or Retinol-A creams 1 week prior to your chemical peel. Contact your local IDOLIZE Brow and Beauty spa for more pre and post treatment limitations.
What is a lash lift and how does it work?
You will lie back and relax as your lash artist applies silicon pads to protect the lower lashes skin of your eyelids and then applies a solution on your lashes to give them a lift and curl. In principle it is like that of a perm for your eyelashes, training them to curl upwards instead of sitting straight.
How long will the lash lift last?
The lash lift will last 6 to 8 weeks, depending on your lash’s growth cycle.
How long does a lash lift take?
A lash lift can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour, including prep. If you choose to enhance the effect of your lash lift with a tint, it may take an extra 10 minutes.
What do I need to do prior to my procedure?
We will cleanse your lashes and lids to ensure they are thoroughly clean and dry. Please remove contacts prior to the appointment or bring a contact case to remove at the appointment and do not wear waterproof mascara up to 48 hours prior to the appointment.
Are lash lifts painful or bad for your lashes?
Not at all. Proper training is required to perform the procedure, ensuring the Lash Lift only benefits clients. Lash lifts can be a very soothing experience with minimal (to no) discomfort. Before the solution is applied, the lash artist will need to position silicon pads on top of your lower lash line to keep your lower lashes out of the solution. Apart from that, the remainder of the treatment is very relaxing, and you will keep your eyes closed the entire time.
Can I wear makeup after my lash lift?
Yes, but it is advised that you leave your lashes untouched for at least 24 hours after your lift. You may find that there is no need for mascara anyway, but if you wish to make your lashes even fuller, a non-waterproof mascara is recommended; so as to avoid using makeup removers that may weaken the lift.
Can I use an eyelash curler?
Not recommended. There will be no need for an eyelash curler, as this treatment gives a much better result than using a curler, but more importantly, using one may weaken and damage your lashes.
How do lash lifts compare to lash extensions?
Lash lifts won't give you the voluminous effect unless you already have plenty of lashes. They simply lift the lashes to a curled position.
Are lash lifts safe during pregnancy?
As with any beauty service, pregnant or breastfeeding women should speak with a physician before getting a lash lift. Pregnancy has also been known to affect the growth rate, and texture, of hair and eyelashes, so pregnant clients may experience less lift than usual.
